Edmund was a son of Edmund Gale of Cambridge[1]. His mother is not noted in these sources.
Before 1666, he married Sarah Dixey, the daughter of William and Ann (or Hannah) Dixey of Salem, Massachusetts[2][1][3]
Named in his father-in-law's will ...to son-in-law Edmund Gale "my musket"; earlier in Dec 1681 William Dixie granted 2 acres land in Beverly. GM Vol 1.
Their oldest children were born in Salem, and the family moved to Beverly around April 1672[1], where the youngest children were born[4][5]
Mary, baptized Mar. 7, 1685-6[5], who married James Chapman [1]
Edmund died before March 10, 1717—18, when "Sarah, of Beverly, widow of Edmond Gale," sold land to Azor Gale [1]. The Beverly records show "Mr Gale" died between November 1717 and March 16, 1718[7]
