Esther Gale, daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Gale and widow of David Haven, was born at Watertown on 31 Dec 1730.[1]
She married about 1753 to William Stone. Esther had one child from her first marriage, David Haven "who, after his marriage in 1776, adopted his step-father's name of Stone and thereafter he and his descendants have borne the name Stone".[1]
William and Esther removed to Sutton, Massachusetts before 1756, when they were "warned out of that town". They later settled on Rocky Hill in Oxford, Massachusetts.[1]
William died before 1780 having had no children, and Esther remarried to John Todd in Ward (now Auburn), Massachusuetts on 19 Sep 1780.[1]
She married her fourth husband, Robert McIntire of Charlton, Massachusetts, on 28 May 1799.[1]
Esther died 2 May 1809.[2]
