Hon. Alonzo Garcelon , physician, State representative `1853 and 1857, State senator 1855, Mayor of Lewiston 1871, Governor of Maine 1879, founder of the Lewiston Journal, fellow of Bates College 1863-1906. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine.
