Alexander Charles Gordon was born 19 Jan 1910 in Singleton the son of George Gardner and Mary Sweeney. Alex died Thursday 20 Aug 1987 at the Singleton District Hospital and his funeral was held 24 Aug 1987 at the Uniting Church, Church St Singleton.
Alexander's ashes are interred at 'ALL SAINTS' CE Singleton, they were originally at Bulga Church but moved in 2001 by two of his children.
Alex was a poultry farmer from an early age first in Castlereagh St and at his father's farm at Camberwell, then on acreage at Bridgman Rd for many years, until he purchased the dairy farm at Camberwell from his father. He also owned a home in Castlereagh St from 1947 where the family lived. There was also a block of land in Rawcliffe St which he sold in the 1960's.
Alex also served in WWII from 1940 to 1942 and served in New Guinea.
