Biography

John MUMPER (23 August 1829) m. 18 January 1855 to Sarah Jane [or Jayne] GARDNER (30 July 1829). The family traveled considerably, moving from place to place. They started a second move west in 1867, and stopped in Baden, PA., Broadwell, IL., Bolivar, MO., in Texas, (1880 census) Lincoln, NE., and finally in 1881 settled in Greeley, Weld co., Colorado. John d. 16 January 1896 near Greeley, Colorado. Sarah Jane d. 24 January 1915 near Greeley, Colorado.


Children include: Benjamin Franklin MUMPER 1855 – 1924; Mary Hepzibah MUMPER 1857 – 1864; Michael A. MUMPER 1858 – 1876; Sarah Jane "Jennie" MUMPER 1860 – 1947; Abraham Lincoln MUMPER 1864 – 1950; Lily MUMPER 1866 – 1867; Anna Terry MUMPER 1868 – 1912; Elizabeth Matilda MUMPER 1871 – 1951[1]
