If the listed parents have a son of this name, dates (1691-1739+), who had a (2nd?) marriage to Sarah King in 1731, this must be a grandson. What is the reason for setting current surname to spouse's maiden name?
I will change the name to Gardner which is it (ggp). On looking at the log, there is no reason stated for this.

It's time to fill in more of the kids. Simon Stacey Gardner is a Patriot (D.A.R.). Might start there.
