Gardner-14771 and Gardner-5917 appear to represent the same person because: The second profile was mistakenly created.

If the listed parents have a son of this name, dates (1691-1739+), who had a (2nd?) marriage to Sarah King in 1731, this must be a grandson. What is the reason for setting current surname to spouse's maiden name?

It is good that you noticed as it passed by my attention.

I will change the name to Gardner which is it (ggp). On looking at the log, there is no reason stated for this.

All of Salem, MA. (Vital records of MA).

1st - Abell, s. Samuell and Mary, 1: 7m: 1673. CTR

2nd - Abel, s. Abel, bp. May 10, 1713. CR1

3rd - Abel, s. Abel, bp. Feb. 27, 1736-7. CR1

It's time to fill in more of the kids. Simon Stacey Gardner is a Patriot (D.A.R.). Might start there.
