Biography
Mervin was born 27 October 1896 in Key West, Florida.[1] He was the son of Whitmore Johnson Gardner and Sarah Elizabeth Thompson.
He married Aileen Elizabeth Alvarez on 16 December 1916 in Key West.[2]
Mervin died less than a year later, on 7 November 1917, in Key West.[3]
