Biography

LDS Church Records indicate that Benjamin lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, USA from 1839-1846. [1]
Benjamin Gardner was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Around June 2, 1852, Benjamin was called to Captain a company of pioneers that left the USA and headed to Deseret, Utah Territory to help settle as Mormon pioneers. The company took his name, and the pioneers started their travel from Kanesville, Iowa (now known as Council Bluffs, Iowa) with the Benjamin Gardner Company and arrived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory on September 24, 1852.[2]
