Biography

Mary [aka Molly] Gardiner was born on 23 November 1744 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.^[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Gardiner and Mary Higginbottom [Higginbotham].^[1][2]

Mary Gardiner married Joseph R. Hull on 18 December 1763 in South Kingstown.^[2][3] They had the following children^[3]:

1. Joseph Hull, b. 1763, d. 1818
2. Thomas Hull, b. 1764, d. 1825
3. Charles Higgabotham Hull, b. about 1766

Research Notes

Mary’s maiden name is also spelled "Gardner" by some sources.^[2][3] However, the spelling "Gardiner" is used by The Gardiners of Narragansett and it would appear to be more reliable source of this detail since it focuses on the Gardiner family.^[1]
