NOTE: The original of John's will has not survived. There is a transcribed copy on file in the Jones County, Georgia courthouse files (Book A, p.6-7, wills of 1809-1851). Also note that the transcriber of the will recorded John's surname as "GARRET", and not "GARRARD". Finally, note that the "Francis BARNS" mentioned in the will is another transcription error, and should be "Frances BARRON", John's daughter, Frances, nee GARRARD, wife of John BARRON.

" I located a Bolt group whose ancestors had lived in Laurens Co., SC. They had never heard of Mary, but they were well aware of their Abram Bolt (John D. said Mary was sister of Abram.). Some time later, one of that group dug into a box of documents they had been sitting with for years and found the Bible record of Robert Bolt and there among his children was my Mary with her brother Abram. A member of this group is also the one that turned up the document in VA showing Robert had left behind his daughter Mary Bolt Garrard. " DAVIS REESE &lt [email address removed] gt;
