Biography
Garrett Berry Garrison is believed to have been born in the year 1799. Sources are unclear regarding where he was born, some list New York and others New Jersey.......
On February 19, 1823 in Morgan county, Indiana Garrett Berry Garrison married Nancy Williams. Eight Children were born to them.
August of 1850 finds Garrett, Nancy and children living in Florence, Louisa, Iowa, however Nancy died later that year.
August 29, 1855 Garrett Berry Garrison married Catherine Gregory in Des Moines county, Iowa.. They can be found in Benton township, Des Moines, Iowa in 1856 and 1860I .
I am uncertain what became of Catherine, but on March 21, 1867 Garrett married Mary Jackson again in Des Moines county, Iowa.
Garrett and Mary were living in Benton township in 1870...
Garret Berry Garrison died on September 1, 1875 in Des Moines county, Iowa and is buried in the Bethel Cemetery, Wapello, Iowa..
NOTE: Garretts youngest child Elizabeth was born after the death of Nancy, however,as of 2/2015 I do not know which of the other two wives was her mother.
