William was born in 1838.[1] He was the son of the famous abolitionist William Garrison. He was a life-long Massachusetts resident.[2] William married Ellen Wright in 1864.[3] He died in 1909[4] and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery and Crematory, Jamaica Plain, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA.[5]

Confirmed this William Garrison is Caucasian (or at least "passing white") based on his son's photo, ruling him out as Private William Garrison in the 54th Massachusetts who was born around the same time that I'm looking for :)
