Rachel was born about 1830 to Thomas Garrison and Elizabeth (Anderson) Garrison.[1] Initially, it appeared she was the daughter of David Garrison and Elizabeth Taylor. However, Rachel is not on David Garrison's Will. In light of this, she was probably a daughter of Thomas Garrison and Elizabeth Anderson, appear in 1830 living in White County, Illinois, an adjacent county to Hamilton. They also eventually end up in Hamilton County, specifically in Mcleansboro, where Rachel and William Campbell also lived. Other members of the Thomas and Elizabeth Garrison family also ended up living there and a few died there, including siblings of Elizabeth and her nieces and nephews. A will for Thomas Garrison has not yet been located.[2]
Rachel Garrison married William Campbell in Hamilton County, Illinois in 1849. She passed away about 1868.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rachel by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rachel:
If the matching test takers are more distantly related than third cousin, triangulation is required before marking any relationships 'confirmed with DNA' based on the matches. See the general instructions for DNA confirmation here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:DNA_Confirmation
