William Gascoigne, esq. of Lasingcroft in Yorkshire (d. 16 Edw IV, c. 1477).
William is the eldest son and heir of John Gascoigne, esq. of Lasingcroft (d. 1445),[1] and Isabel, daughter of William Heton of Mirfield. He had 7 brothers and 6 sisters.
William married Joanetta (Joan or Jane), daughter of William Beckwith, esq. of Clint, Yorkshire and Elizabeth Plumpton. They were married before 25 March 1444, but an indenture for their marriage contract was made between their parents on 13 August 1442.[1] They had three sons (2 died with no issue), and four daughters. Their son and heir William (d. abt. 25 Jul 1520), married Margaret, daughter of Richard Keighley.[2]
