""Jaurgain considers that Seguin was the same person as "Semen-Loup duc des Vascons", in other words "Jimeno" ... son of Adalric in the possibly spurious charter of Charles II "le Chauve" King of the West Franks dated 30 Jan 845, although the charter distinguishes the two individuals," (Cawley, 2006)."[5]
"According to Jaurgain (1898), "Semen-Loup, frère aîné de Sanche-Loup" succeeded his younger brother as Duke of Gascony, but he cites no primary source on which this is based" (Cawley, 2006).[6][7]
