Biography

William Gattley was born in 1610 in Hereford to John Gattley and Margaret Gattley.

Family

William married Catharina Gatlye in November 1630 in Bridstow, Herefordshire[1], and they had the following children:

  1. Nicholas Gatley; born 1643 in Charles City, Virginia Colony. Nicholas married Sarah Osborne in 1669 in Charles City, and they had one daughter, Sarah.

A mother's death date (Westerby-3 died 1599) should not be before one of her children's birth dates (Gattley-3 born 1610) .

Hello! Just to let you know that I've cleaned up William's profile as part of this week's Data Doctors challenge. I tried to salvage the Ancestry sources given, but all of the links were broken and lead to error pages and so I had to leave them. There is also a data error; Margaret's death date is listed as 1599—how could she then have a son in 1610? Good luck!
