Research Notes
Notes for Jane Gay:
Jane's brother, Lewis Russell Gay, also moved to Daviess County. Apparently John and Jane moved to Missouri between 1834 (when Henry G. was born) and 1838 (when William was born). Daviess County was created in 1836 from non-county territory. Jane's brother, Lewis R., can be found in neighboring counties - Grundy, Mercer, and Harrison.
