Photos of Hugh MacKenzie Gee can be found at the Renwick Museum [1] [2] [3]
Be aware that his nephew was named Hugh McKenzie Gee. This is confusing. Note that his nephew's name is without the 'a' in the Mac.
Hugh Mackenzie Gee outlived his nephew Hugh McKenzie Gee by 2 years. Hugh Mackenzie Gee died in 1920 and Hugh McKenzie Gee died in 1918 (aged 42). Hugh McKenzie is buried at the Omaka cemetery next to his wife Fanny. I'm not too sure where Hugh MacKenzie is buried.
Possibly a photo of Hugh MacKenzie Gee working on the Awatere Road Rail Bridge in 1913. [4] Hugh MacKenzie Gee would have been about 64 when this photo was taken - and this seems consistant with the photo.
Another photo of Hugh, working in a shearing gang [5]
