On 18th July 1818, along with younger sisters - Frances, Naomi, and Eliza - Maria was baptised at St Michael, Long Stanton, Cambridgeshire, England, the ceremony being performed by James Atkins, Rector - the daughter of James Gee, Day Labourer, and his wife, Susanna. The Rector's writing is difficult to read, but the location of their house is given in the Baptism record. [1]
Maria Gee and Edward Golding, both single and of the Parish, were married at St Michael's, Long Stanton, following Banns, on 19th September 1826. The ceremony was performed by William Cecil, Rector, before witnesses John Smith and Sarah Golding. All four members of the bridal party signed the register with their mark.
The online burial index records the same date of death and age, but the exact location of her grave in West Terrace is unknown. [2]
