Biography

Rhoda Grace Geggie was born on 15 October 1907 in Cairo, Al Qahirah, Egypt, daughter of Thomas Geggie (1881 - 1922) and Ada (Butcher) Geggie (1884 - <1949). Her father was in the British Army and was station in Egypt.

Her siblings were:

1. Ada E. Geggie (1910s - )
2. Margaret Geggie (~1920s - )

In the 1911 England Census Rhoda (age 3) was living with her parents and siblings in Military Housing for the 1st Batallion The Kings Own Scottish Borderers at Ranikhet, India.^[1]

According to the Electoral Register of 1933, Rhoda was living at 17 Sussex Gardens, Paddington, London^[2].

Rhoda married Frederick W Harris before 31 December 1938 and the marriage was Registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1938 at Colchester, Essex^[3].

Rhoda died on 5 August 1993 in Hove, Sussex, England, United Kingdom aged 85^[4]. Her entry in the probate calendar (as Rhoda Grace Harris) shows her date of death was 5 Aug 1993, she was living at Dresden House, 18 Albany Villas, Hove, Sussex and her estate did not exceed £125,000^[5].
