Peter was the second son of Maud de Lacy and her second husband Geoffrey de Geneville/Joinville.[1][2][3] His parents had interests in England, Ireland and France, so his birth country is uncertain. His birth year is also not known: his parents married before 8 August 1252 and his mother's first husband, Peter of Geneva, died a little before 29 June 1249.[4] A guesstimate of a birth date of about 1255 may not be unreasonable.
Before 11 October 1283 Peter married Jeanne de Lusignan/de la Marche, daughter of Hugues de Lusignan and Jeanne de Fougères. He was her second husband.[2][3] They had three daughters:
In 1283 Peter's parents settled property in England and Wales on Peter and his wife,[1] including Ludlow Castle and half the vill of Ludlow, Shropshire; Stanton Lacy, Shropshire; Mandel Lacy and Wolforlowe, Herefordshire; and Ewyas, Herefordshire.[2][3][8][9]
In 1285 Edward I granted Peter murage at Ludlow, Shropshire - the right to a tax to maintain and repair the town walls.[2][3]
Peter died a little before 8 June 1292[2][3] when writs were issued for his IPMs. They recorded him holding property at Ewyas Lacy, and him and his wife holding property at Malmeshull and Wiverlowe in Herefordshire and Ludlow in Shropshire.[6]
The following, with unsourced profiles, have previously been shown on WikiTree as children of Peter de Geneville and Jeanne de Lusignan. There is no good evidence for the relationship.

Geneville-1 was french-french not anglo-norman. He was born (in Ireland) to Geoffroi de Joinville, seigneur de Vaucouleurs; himself son of Simon, seneschal of Champagne, two centuries after the conquest etc. So, not an Anglo-Norman.
The name "Peter" wasn't used in his native language during his lifetime. (And the Irish spelled it differently, but in his circle, they'd all be speaking French and their lawyers/priests writing in Latin, regardless.)
More family name data points: he chose to name his children Jeanne, Jehan, Gauthier, and Simon. His brother is Jehan. (His dad Geoffroi was also known as Jehan, apparently.) His wife was Jeanne de Lusignan. Those names are conspicuously NOT Joan, John, and Walter etc. While Simon could go either way, since it's honoring his French grandfather, that's pronounced "seemone" -- he should probably not be called Peter here.
Thoughts?
What's the source for the "Lord of Trimcaste" title used here; and what does that mean, given he was lord of Trim, and its castle, in Ireland?
A quick look on Google suggests only places (i.e. on the web) that "trimcaste" appears are ancestry sites related to this Piers. This page, his Geni page, and random Ancestry.com trees. Dubious?
Does Richardson or any other reputable, or primary source use Trimcaste, anywhere that we can point to?
This word doesn't appear in any of the linked sources provided, that I can find anyway.
'Our Royal and Titled Noble and Commoner Ancestors' styles him:
"Sir Piers de Geneville, Baron Geneville, Seigneur de Vaucouleurs, Justiciar of Ireland (and lord of) Ludlow, Walterstone, Staunton-Lacy, Malmeshull, Wulverlowe & Ewyas-Lacy"
