Biography

Living in Billericay with his parents in 1881 and 1891. Ernest was a witness at the marriage of his elder brother Thomas to Lucy Hebblethwaite.

By 1901 Ernest was married to Annie and living in Paddington working as a pastry cook.

By 1911 Ernest had his own baking and confectionary business at St Marylebone at 29 Lisson Grove. He employed three staff in the business (a baker, shop assistant and clerk) as well as a governess. Annie helped him in the business. According to the census return, Ernest and Annie had had six children by 1911, two of whom had died.
