Biography

Mary Eliza was the daughter of Andrew W. and Rachel (McKeehan) Gentry. She was the sister of Boian, Pleasant, Lilly, and Stella, and the half-sister of Emeline, James, Spicy, Rob, Garrett, and Rhoda. Mary married Leonard Chrisman, son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary (Kelly) Chrisman. The young couple lived with her parents in Estill County, Kentucky. They had one child -- Eva Chrisman. Mary died soon after, in September, 1902, when she was 21 years old.
