Alfred Keys Gentry was a master bricklayer (as was his father). Born in Billericay, he moved to Kensington as a young man, returning to Essex in retirement.
Y DNA and numerous autosomal DNA matches imply that Alfred Keys Gentry, or one of his male relatives, was the father of Edith Murrin's first son Wililam Murrin. Edith Murrin was the sister of Alfred's wife, Mary. Alfred and his wife Mary were living in the same building as Edith Murrin at the time of the 1871 census.
