Jean Baptiste Degerlais was born on 26 Oct 1733 and was baptized the same day at Saint-Antoine de la Rivière-du-Loup, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[1] He was the son of Jean-François Degerlais and Catherine Aubé.

Marriage
Jean Desjarlais and Marguerite Renaud were married on 15 Feb 1762 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité de Beauport, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[2]
