She married Jacob Longfellow in 1838 in Machias, Washington County, Maine.[1] In 1850, the family was living in Marshfield, Washington, Maine.[2] With a family of four children, they took a three week journey to St. Anthony, Ramsey, Minnesota Territory, and arrived on July 2, 1851. Her husband established his claim in Brooklyn Township and they moved into the house he built in 1853. [3]
She died at age 58 of 'consumption' on April 3,1880.[4]. Burial was in the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, section 26, lot 246, Grave 16.[5][6]
The newspaper published in July 1878 that she owed taxes on a lot [lot 4 block 11, $28.72] in the Jackson, Daniel and Whitney Addition to Minneapolis.[7] Also published was the ordeal of probate, with her son Levi being the administrator.[8]
