Marie Anne Guédon variations: Guesdon, Guidon, Gaudry (sic, rec. 1666)
Fille de Thomas et d'Isabelle de Morin, de Magny en Normandie (ar. Pontoise, Val-d'Oise), elle nait vers 1641 (25 ans en 1666, 29 en 1667, 40 en 1681 aux recensements).[1] (Note: le site Migrations nomme ce lieu Magny-en-Vexin et le situe en Île-de-France,[2] mais son premier contrat de mariage dit bien Normandie) Son second contrat de mariage nomme sa mère Élisabeth de Mourey, et la dit de Paris, sa sépulture la dit aussi de Paris.
Elle arrive à Québec le 18 juin 1665 à bord du vaisseau Le St-Jean-Baptiste en provenance de Dieppe[3] comme fille du roy, apportant des biens estimés à 200 livres, ne savait pas signer.[4]

L'acte de mariage comme tel est perdu, le notaire Jacques de La Tousche était notaire au Cap-de-la-Madeleine et couvrait aussi Champlain[5], Jetté situe le mariage à Champlain.[1]

Gabriel Benoist décède en 1686.[1][6]

Contrat de mariage entre Marin Marest dit La Barre, veuf de Marie Deschamps, de Rivière-du-Loup, natif de Luçon, fils de Martin Marest et de Elizabeth Charpentier; et Anne Guesdon, de Trois-Rivières, veuve de Gabriel Benoist, native de Paris, fille de Thomas Guesdon et de Elizabeth de Mourey (7 février 1695). Notaire Séverin Ameau Vol XXVI pg 20 #483[5] (image sur profil, pg 1) L'acte de mariage est aussi perdu. Jetté met ce mariage le même jour à Trois-Rivières[12], mais les registres de Trois-Rivières n'ont pas ce mariage à cette date.[6]

Ils sont établis à la Rivière-du-Loup (aujourd'hui Louiseville), aucun enfant de ce mariage.[6][12]
Martin Marest dit Labarre est inhumé le 4 mars 1732 à la Rivière-du-Loup, l'acte lui donnant environ 92 ans. [13]

Anne Guédon, veuve de Marin Marest dit Labarre, est inhumée le 22 mars 1732 à Yamachiche, l'acte lui donne 101 ans (sic) et la dit de la ville de Paris. Cités présents furent Jacques Blais et Jean Charles Laserte.[14][15] [16][17]

Daughter of Thomas Guédon and of Isabelle de Morin , from Magny in Normandie (ar. Pontoise, Val-d'Oise), born around 1641 (25 in 1666, 29 in 1667, 40 in 1681 per censuses).[1] (Note: Migrations site names the location Magny-en-Vexin and places it in Île-de-France,[2] but her first marriage contract says Normandie) Her second marriage contract names her mother Élisabeth de Mourey, and says she is from Paris, her funeral also says she is from Paris.
She arrived in Québec city on 18 June 1665 aboard the ship Le St-Jean-Baptiste from Dieppe[3] as a fille du roy, bringing goods estimated at 200 livres, she could not sign.[4]
Marriage
Gabriel Benoist dit Laforest, son of Claude Benoist and of Anne Lafontaine, resident of Champlain, entered into a marriage contract with Anne Guesdon, daughter of Thomas Guesdon and of Isabelle de Morin, from Normandie, on 26 October 1665 before notary Jacques de La Tousche.[5]
The marriage record itself is lost, notary Jacques de La Tousche exercised his functions in Cap-de-la-Madeleine and also covered Champlain[5], Jetté puts the marriage in Champlain.[1][22] [23]

Gabriel Benoist died in 1686.[1][6]

Marin Marest dit La Barre, widower of Marie Deschamps, of Rivière-du-Loup, native of Luçon (sic, Alençon), son of Martin Marest and of Elizabeth Charpentier, entered into a marriage contract with Anne Guesdon, of Trois-Rivières, widow of Gabriel Benoist, native of Paris, daughter of Thomas Guesdon and of Elizabeth de Mourey, on 7 February 1695 before notary Séverin Ameau.[5] (image on profile, pg 1) the marriage act is also lost. Jetté puts the marriage the same day in Trois-Rivières[12], but the records of Trois-Rivières do not contain this marriage on that date.[6]
They were established in Rivière-du-Loup (now Louiseville), no issue from the marriage.[6][12]
