Wilford Earl Gibbs was born October 10, 1910 in Sanborn, O'Brien County, Iowa to father Harry C. Gibbs and mother Blanche Peeler.^[1]

Wilfred Gibbs was enumerated as son of the head of household at Brody Avenue, Franklin, O'Brien County, Iowa for the January 2, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1911 in Iowa and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Harry C Gibbs, wife Blanch Gibbs, daughter Vera Gibbs and daughter Dorothy Gibbs.^[2]

Wilfred Gibbs was enumerated as son of the head of household at Franklin, O'Brien County, Iowa for the April 19, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1911 in Iowa and single. He was an automobile mechanic as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Harry Gibbs, wife Blanche Gibbs, daughter Dorothy Gibbs and son William R Gibbs.^[3]
