I believe I am related as a lady of that name eloped with an ancestor of mine. George Gibbs born Bridport Dorset C1806/8 Thet married in London and he gave the wrong information regarding himself as his family lived in Beaminster Dorset and moved to Bridport for just a few years then moved back to Beaminster. He gave Beaminster as his birth place and 1800 instead of 1806/8. Thay moved to Waranbool on the Soth coast of Victoria where ther are still a lot of Gibbs living. The ancesters of Henry are pretty sure from Crewkerne just over the border from Dorset As my DNA I am told is just ten points away from Giles Gibbs of the "Mary and John wich saied to USA and founded Dorchester MASS
I hope this will help you in your research. I am now 92.
Good luck George
