Felix B. Gibson, 76, McCains community farmer, died at 7 a.m. today at Maury County Hospital where he had been confined for the past several weeks. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2"30 p.m. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home by the Rev. Felix Snell and the Rev. Roy Henderson. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home. Mr. Gibson was a native of Giles County and a son of the late George and Mary Scott Gibson. He had resided in McCains since 1928, moving there from Southport. He was a member of the board of stewards for Bigbyville Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Buck Erwin of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucian Burnett of Dumas, TX; a stepson, Harold Stockard, Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and newphews. Pallbearers will be Tom McGrew, Floyd Sealy, Leslie and Clyde Erwin and Kenneth and Austin Horne. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the board of stewards of the Bigbyville Methodist Church."
