James Gibson, son of James Gibson and Cathrine McGaw was born on 7 May 1845 at Urr, Kircudbrightshire. ^[1]

James was born in 1845.

He first married Eliza Ellenora Hollway in 1868 in Victoria. ^[2]

He married a second time in 1888 in New Zealand to Jane Bishop. ^[3]

James passed away on 28 January 1892 at Greytown, New Zealand. He was 47 years old. ^[4][5]
