Biography

Born July 31, 1774 in Chambersburg, Pa. Learned Stone Masons trade in the war of 1812 and the Indian war in Tnn Married Martha Hogg on their journey to Tennessee near Lexington, Virginia around 1792. members of seceder church Had a farm in Tennessee where 8 children were born.

Thomas and his family moved near Xenia, Ohio in 1807 where they cared for his aged parents. Six of their children were born in Greene County Ohio, near Xenia. Sole their 240 acre Ohio farm in 1831 and moved toWarren County, Illinois. Martha died July 15, 1844 and Thomas died July 28, 1860. age 85 after living with his widowed daughter Jane for about 15 years.
