Biography

The death of Susan Heath occurred at her home on Calhoun St at 8 pm on Thursday. Deceased who was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pamela Gibson, was born in Knox co., Ohio, nearly 69 years ago, but has lived in Iowa since 1853. She was the widow of Peter Heath and the mother of ten children. Five of whom are still living. She was one of nine children in her family, who lived to mature years and the second to be removed by death, leaving seven brothers and sisters. She had been an invalid much of the time for many years and about a week agowas taken sick with grippe, which ended her life. The funeral funeral will take place from the Christian church of which she was a consistant member at 1:30 on Sunday and the remains will be interred at the South Prairie M. P. Cemetery.
