Biography
James Gibson was born about 1848 in Kentucky.[1][2]
James married Martha E. Melvin about 1870.[3][4]
James was working as a farmer in Pleasant Township, Union County, Iowa, in 1880. He and Martha had four children by then and Martha was keeping house.[5][6]
The family was in the same place in 1900, but the eldest children were gone and three new ones had been born.[7]
James and Martha remained on the farm in Union County after the children had all left home.[8]
