John Gielgud was an English actor and theatre director, who with Ralph Richardson and Laurence Olivier, dominated the British stage for much of the 20th century.
Born in 1904 in South Kensington, he was the son of Frank Gielgud and Kate Terry Lewis.
He died at 96 in 2000. [1]
