George 3 GILBERT (Jeremiah2, Thomas1) was born 3 October 1786 in Frederick County, Maryland. He died 28 February 1863 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 76 and was buried in Lower Miami Cemetery, Montgomery County.

George married first Catherine WAMPLER 27 January 1825. Catherine was born 15 March 1801and died 11 July 1831 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 30. She was buried in Lower Miami Cemetery. On 16 March 1834 in Montgomery County George married second Mary Brown WAMPLER, likely some relation to Catherine. She was born 30 September 1803 in Maryland. Mary died 13 September 1894 in Montgomery County at age 90 and was buried in Lower Miami Cemetery.

In December 1823 George received $69.04, 1/28th part of the residue of the estate of his grandfather Thomas Gilbert.

James GILBERT SON OF (George Gilbert (1786-1863)¹) was born 23 November 1825 in Ohio and died 4 June 1903 in Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 77.

James married 25 January 1849 in Montgomery County Nancy HECK who was born in 1827 in Ohio, the daughter of John and Margaret (Mahen) Heck, he of Virginia and she of Maryland. Nancy died before 1900 in Montgomery County.
