Eleazer, son of Thomas Gilbert and Jane Rossiter, is reported in vital records for Hardwick, Massachusetts to be born about 1655 in Taunton, Massachusetts.[1][2]
In 1677, he made his mark on a receipt for his share of his father, Thomas Gilbert's estate.[3]
Eleazer was a farmer, but he took part in various military activities. Eleazer took part in the King Williams war, and fought against Quebec City during that campaign.[4]
Family
Eleazer Gilbert married Elizabeth Crane at Milton, CT, New England on 23 May 1682. She was born 1663 in Milton, daughter of Henry Crane and Tabitha Kinsley Crane.[5]After Eleazer died in 1701 leaving Elizabeth with 4 minor children, she married secondly George Townsend c. 1705.[6]"Eliezar, son of Thomas Gilbert, was born at Taunton about 1655. His wife's Christian name was Elizabeth; among their children was Eliezar, mentioned below."[7]

Eleazer, son of Eleazer and Elizabeth, born about 1680 in Taunton.[8]Married Mercy Wilmarth 13 Nov 1712. [9][10]Mercy was born 2 May 1689.They had many children.[11]
Elizabeth, born 9 March 1683, Taunton.[12][13]Married Thomas Willis who died 1724. She married secondly George Townsend, her step brother or possibly half-brother.
Mercy aka Mary, daughter of Eleazer, born 13 Oct 1684 [14][15]She married Stephen Gary (b.1691/2 Charlestown, Mass but removed to Taunton.). They had many children in Taunton. She died very aged in Taunton.[16][17]
John, born c.1690 in Taunton, Married Mary Walker.[18]
Note, the Geoffrey Gilbert reference records a son Eleazer born 1686 married to Mercy Wilmarth. This is assumed to be a mistranscription of the zero.

Gilbert-3770 and Gilbert-1250 appear to represent the same person because: Seems pretty obvious these are the same people. Elizabeth did marry another : Marriage to George Townsend, 27 Apr 1705 Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.
