Biography

When Stella Walton Gilbert Hurst was born on 6 August 1868, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania^{[citation needed]} her father, Heber Gilbert, was 31 and her mother, Julia Adelaide Ray, was 23.

She married John Henry Hurst on 15 February 1888, in Boone, Iowa, United States. ^{[citation needed]} They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters.

She lived in Marcy, Boone, Iowa, United States for about 10 years and Marcy Township, Boone, Iowa, United States in 1940.^[1]

Stella Watson Gilbert Hurst is buried in Sparks Cemetery, Boone County, Iowa with her gravestone giving dates 1868 and 1957.^[2]
