Joseph Ransom Gilbert, 77 died at his home in Guion Wednesday, September 5. He was born in Tennessee but had lived in the Guion Community for 60 years.
He was a deacon in the Missionary Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, four sons, four daughters and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at Melbourne with Rev. Hugh Cooper and Bro. George Roberts of Rosie officiating. Burial was in the Melbourne Cemetery.[3]
