Hello Pamela,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ. Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Please take your time. Accuracy is far more important than speed here. Add locations, dates, and at least one source to each profile before you leave it.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

 :)

Hi, Pamela!

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care,

Laura ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Looking for a specific person? Try under “find” and enter the name you are looking for (with dates if you have them). It is very important to you and to others that you include as much bio info about individuals as possible & don’t forget the need for sources. You will come to appreciate the need for this background info and sources as you continue with WikiTree. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. John Beeson WikiTree Mentor

Hi Pamela,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

I wanted to take a second to welcome you to the WikiTree family and thank you for volunteering! You are now a confirmed member.

If you already have or you are planning to upload a GEDCOM, you might want to check out Importing GEDCOMS Keep in mind that our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Hello,

Welcome to WikiTree as a guest ! If you are just looking for family or other researchers working on the same names as yours, use the surname search function at the top of the profile page or ask at G2G Forum

If you would like to enjoy the benefits of being a full member, leave us a message here letting us know. If you just want to be a guest, that's ok too but please let us know what you would like to do.

Once we see a message on your profile stating why you want to be a part of our collaborative genealogical community, one of our greeters will confirm you . Enjoy this video done by one of our members about WikiTree video WikiTree
