Alfred Hiram Gilbert was born in Dec 1853 in Parishville, St. Lawrence, New York to parents Alfred W Gilbert and Jane E Gray. He married Emmeretta Arvilla Hall on 8 May 1878 in Fairbault, Minnesota. Children: Crisy Lee, Bessie, Hardy Leroy, Mary Jane, Clara B, Earl H, Florence Lu. He died on 3 Mar 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
