Biography

Isaac and Susan's marriage record is a handwritten entry that reads as follows: "State of Kansas County of Benton This is to certify that I A D McClelland a duly commissioned and acting Justice of the Peace for the County of Benton and State of Arkansas as aforesaid that I did unite in marriage at Benton County Ark on the 20th day of July 1874 Mr Isaac W Gilbert aged 22 years and Miss Susan Thompson aged 17 years Given under my hand this 12th day of August 1874^[1]
