Biography
Hester the daughter of John and Hester Gilbert was baptised at Bourton-On-Dunsmore in Warwickshire on 15 Jan 1784.[1]
- John Gilbert married Hester Townsend at Bourton-On-Dunsmore on 11 May 1768 by Licence when both of the Parish.[2]
Note: The baptism year of 1784 is inconsistent with her age at death and ages in the 1851 and 1861 censuses so she may not be the same Hester/Esther who married Richard Hartwell.
Esther Gilbert married Richard Hartwell at Banbury in Oxfordshire on 19 Jul 1819.[3] Together they had 6 children:
1851 Census: Fritwell, Oxfordshire, married, aged 62.[4]
1861 Census: Fritwell, Oxfordshire, married, aged 70.[5]
The death of Esther Hartwell was registered in the Bicester Union district of Oxfordshire in the 4th quarter of 1863 aged 73.[6]
