Michael Gilbert was born before 1540 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, son of Gilbert.
He was one of the commisioners sent to represent Edinburgh at the coronation of Jamves VI.[1]
He married firstly, Sibilla Wycht.[2] They had issue:
Sibillia died in 1590.[2] and he married secondly, Issobell Young.
Michael died on 31 Jan 1591/92.[4]
