!Also from Bible page from Andrew Jackson Gile, per Swofford was a listing for "Josh Hancock Gile, b July 18 1810", below a listing for "Pametta Gile d. Sept 14, 1875" and above a listing for "Gn F. Gile 1841", and beside that entry was "Textbook written 1778 Addison" - do not know what this means. Later, decided Josh was Joshua Gile, son of William.
!Worked in lumber mill - probably the "E.L. Co" shown above.
!LDS Ancestral file shows a submitter: John Gile, 820 B Striplin Rd.,Nicolaus, CA 95659. He is Rin #53.
!Hugh Swofford (Mil) in letter of 17 April 1994 to Howard Gile, says that the wedding photo of Jack and Frances is at Gilby, ND and his grandmother "had written the date very carefully as 1900. When John and I went to Winonat ogether to do research in 1990 we saw the original marriage registrations which have been given to the Winona Co. Historical Society. There I found the date was 1901 and I was most careful to make that claim as I even checked the adjacent documents to be sure of the date. They were married after Hubert was born. That is the only way I can explain such a discrepancy." (Mn Marriage index shows 1901.)
