Biography

Eddy Gile, son of Rea and Molly (Hodge) Gile, was born on 5 Sep. 1805^[1] in Schoharie County, New York.

He married Christina Davis "Hodge" who was born on 8 May 1805^[1] New York.

He was a farmer when he and Christina appeared on the census of 11 Sep. 1850 at Chatham, Tioga, Pennsylvania.^[2] He was a farmer when he and Christina appeared on the census of 23 July 1860 at Pierpont, Ashtabula, Ohio.^[3] He was a farmer when he and Christina appeared on the census of 7 June 1870 at Monroe, Ashtabula, Ohio. Their son Joseph was living next to them.^[4] He appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 in the home of his daughter and son-in-law at Turbot, Northumberland, Pennsylvania.^[5]

Eddy died on 4 March 1885 at Ashtabula County, Ohio.^[1]
