Biography

Mary Ann Giles was born in 1828 in Eton, Buckinghamshire, England to Henry Giles and Mary Ann (Gurney) Giles - she was christened on 6 Apr 1828 in Eton.^[1]

In 1841 Mary Giles (age 13) lived at Eton Wick in Eton with her father Henry (40-44), mother Mary (30-34), and two brothers: Ruben (3) and David (1).^[2]

In 1851 Mary Giles (age 24, At Home) lived in Eton with her father Henry (49, Farm Labourer), mother Mary (33[~43], Sheppard) and four brothers: Reuben (12, Farm Labourer), David (10, Sheppard), Alfred (5, Scholar), and George (3, At Home).^[3]
