Biography

Iowa was born December 24, 1850 in Alabama to father William Gillespie of Alabama and mother Frances Higgenbottom.^[1]

Iowa P Vaughn was enumerated as wife at Township 14, Blount County, Alabama for the June 25, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1851 in Alabama and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Ab T Vaughn, son Rufus M Vaughn, son William I Vaughn, son Robert F Vaughn, son James P Vaughn and son Clawd L Vaughn.^[2]
