Biography

Carl Lee Gillespie was born 1886 to father George T. Hughes Gillespie and mother Eliza Ann Owen.^[1]

Carl D Gillespie was enumerated as son of the head of household in Justice Precincts 1-4 Throckmorton, Throckmorton County, Texas for the June 7, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as born September 1886 in Arkansas and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Geo T H Gillespie, wife Eliza A Gillespie, daughter Elizabeth F Gillespie, son Gilbert Gillespie, daughter Allie B Gillespie, son Ulva Gillespie and son Otho K Gillespie.^[2]

Carl L Gillespie was enumerated as brother of the head of household at Justice Precinct 2, Baylor County, Texas for the April 16, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1888 in Arkansas and single. He was a farmer on a home farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Flem T Gillespie, brother C H Gillespie, brother Gilbert Gillespie, sister Elizebeth Gillespie, sister Allie Gillespie and brother Veva Gillespie.^[3]

Carl Lee Gillespie died December 30, 1960 in Texas.^[1]
