Biography

Susannah was born in 1844. She was the daughter of James Gillham and Margaret Lee.

Susannah married John Tillery on 24 December 1868 in Moniteau, Missouri, United States.[1]

In the 1910 census Susan (age 65) was the widowed mother-in-law of Charles M Hanson in Township 3, Craig, Oklahoma, United States.[2]

Research Notes

A death in Missouri is highly unlikely. In 1910, she was residing in Oklahoma. There is no death certificate there for her on that date in Missouri. There is a death certificate with that date for Susan Frances Tillery born 2 Oct 1920 (sic should be 1820), age 92, daughter of Robinson and Spillman (?). Informant was MD Jarvis.[3]

Gilliam-302 and Gillham-464 appear to represent the same person because: I have been actively researching the Gillham family for my daughters of the American Revolution application and know every family between myself and patriot ancestor quite well. Susannah C. Gillham was the only daughter of James Milton Gillham before he died young and tragically. Susannah, whom I refer to above married John M. Tillery and had at least two children that I am sure of; Rebecca (Tillery) Hanson and William Tillery.
